The designs for this particular collection are a contemporary twist on the archetypal lantern. They combine the aesthetic qualities of our specially selected papers with the inspiration from natural geometry, to create a versatile range of sculptural shades.

We really enjoyed the opportunity to speak with customers face to face and made some valuable new contacts, as well as spending time with existing customers to gain their feedback on the new products. It was also nice to be visited by some friendly faces and a fair few Habitat Alumni!
Our new Rosa lights were much admired, with many questions directed to the material and the forming of the paper. The Banksia lights were displayed in a cluster of 5 which worked really effectively and received more interest from interior design market, we even had a visit from the designer of the EAT cafes, who originally specified Aperture. And back to Aperture, the design is 10 years old this year and is still proving to be a firm favourite, picking up lots of new orders from many independent retail customers.
We thought we would show you some behind the scenes pictures of the stand build. While it seemed like a substantial effort to turn our walled space into a covered room, it was definitely worth it! We chose to create a really simple stand, using our pantone ref from our identity as the backdrop. We enlisted the help of the very talented Andy Mairs, whose craftsmanship, precision and general hard graft realised the vision that we had for the brand identity.
We had a great few days at Home and showed alongside some very talented and mutually supportive small companies; Rachel Taylor Designs, Diffractis and Surfacephilia. It was an impressive show which has set a high standard with the quality of exhibitors. The larger stands were taken by prestigious brands such as SCP and the creative installation by the House of Hemingway and their new range for G Plan. The smaller stands showcased a great range of products from creative companies such as the beautiful print designers, Thornback and Peel, and Trophy, the award winners for the ‘Best Product’ with their fantastic bike racks.
We will definitely be taking a stand for Home 2014!
